The Arrivals Film Screening and Panel Discussion
March 31, 2025 at 7:00 PM, Jacob Burns Film Center
In a time when the basic human rights of immigrants are under threat, it’s critical that our community come together to uphold what is just, defending the rights, humanity and contributions of immigrants. Join us for a special screening of The Arrivals, a moving film directed and produced by Andrea DeGeorge Garbarini. The film captures the journey of asylum seekers sent to New York City from the Texas border and highlights the efforts of volunteers who provided essential support to people seeking safety and security in the United States. The film is presented by Neighbors Link, Films on Purpose and the Jacob Burns Film Center as part of the Community Matters film series. All tickets include the film screening, post-film panel discussion and reception. During the panel discussion, we will talk about how community members can work to defend and protect the rights of immigrants.
