News & Updates

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Community Under Pressure: Leadership and Response in a Time of Immigration Policy Change. We were grateful to bring together such a thoughtful group of community members, partners, municipal leaders, and supporters to talk candidly about what immigrant families in our region are experiencing and how we can respond together.

A few themes from the conversation stayed with us:

  • Federal immigration policies are being felt locally. Families across the Hudson Valley are navigating increased fear and uncertainty, and the impact reaches our schools, workplaces, municipalities, and neighborhoods.
  • Prepared communities are stronger communities. Clear policies, trusted information and coordination among local leaders, schools, law enforcement, service providers, and community organizations can make a meaningful difference.
  • No organization or municipality can do this work alone. Partnership, communication, and shared learning are essential as conditions continue to change.
  • There is a role for each of us. Whether through advocacy, partnership, volunteering, philanthropy, or simply helping others better understand what is happening, we can all help build communities where immigrant families can thrive.

We invite you to stay connected with Neighbors Link: learn more about our work, volunteer, keep yourself informed about immigration updates, advocate alongside us, or support our work with a gift. For additional information on any of these, please contact Adrienne Vogel at [email protected].

And if something you heard last night sparked an idea for partnership or deeper engagement, we would welcome the opportunity to continue the conversation.

Thank you again for being in the room and for showing up for immigrant families.
