As May comes to a close, we wanted to highlight some of the fantastic events that took place at Neighbors Link. We celebrated Mother’s Day at our Family Night. The evening was filled with craft making for the kids and raffles for the parents. Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all who celebrated!

The Red Cross delivered a presentation on fire safety to our Neighbors Link Staff. During this presentation, they learned the importance of ensuring smoke detectors are working, knowing an exit plan, and knowing where all your fire extinguishers are located. Thank you so much to the Red Cross for delivering such an important presentation to our staff!

A medida que mayo llega a su fin, queremos destacar algunos de los eventos maravillosos que tuvieron lugar en Neighbors Link. Celebramos el Día de las Madres durante nuestra Noche Familiar. Fue una velada llena de manualidades hechas por los niños y rifas para los padres. ¡Feliz Día de las Madres atrasado a todas quienes lo celebraron!

La Cruz Roja ofreció una presentación sobre seguridad contra incendios a nuestro personal de Neighbors Link. Durante la charla, aprendieron la importancia de asegurarse de que los detectores de humo funcionen correctamente, conocer el plan de evacuación y saber dónde se encuentran todos los extinguidores. ¡Muchas gracias a la Cruz Roja por brindar una presentación tan importante a nuestro equipo!

Thank you to our wonderful partners at Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Xi Chi Omega Chapter for donating snack-packs to our Learning Links program! AKA put together these packs in their CHIPP program, designed to offer a supply of meals and snacks to the community. Their snack-packs included non-perishable food items, containing food for two breakfasts, two lunches, two snacks, one can of vegetables and one can of fruit. Thank you AKA!

Gracias al Capítulo Xi Chi Omega de la hermandad Alpha Kappa Alpha por donar paquetes de refrigerios a nuestro programa Learning Links! AKA armó estos paquetes como parte de su programa CHIPP, diseñado para ofrecer un suministro de comidas y refrigerios a la comunidad. Los paquetes incluían alimentos no perecederos con comida para dos desayunos, dos almuerzos, dos meriendas, una lata de verduras y una lata de fruta. ¡Gracias AKA!

The Gabby Rosenfeld Be a Hero award will be presented to Luisa Granda-Rodriguez for 20 years of impactful and transformative work at Neighbors Link.

We will also be honoring the legacy and impact of Neighbors Link Board Member and Friend of Neighbors Link Barbara Bruce Jackson (1939 - 2025) and Board Member Ana Muralles Verrino (1975 - 2024).

Neighbors Link was proud to take part in the Suzanne Grant Volunteer Day for our Family Fun Day at our Mount Kisco center. The day was filled with fun activities, like bouncy castles, painted bird houses, arts and crafts, movement rooms, face painting, and much more. We also welcomed our partners from Fidelis and Northern Westchester Hospital who took blood pressure screenings and distributed information about health related resources. A special thank you to our Fox Lane High School volunteers, who brought enthusiasm and ensured the day ran smoothly. Suzanne Grant was a deeply loved member of the Neighbors Link family and this day is such a special way to honor her legacy.

Neighbors Link se sintió orgulloso de participar en el Día de Voluntariado Suzanne Grant durante nuestro Family Fun Day en el centro de Mount Kisco. Fue un día lleno de actividades divertidas como castillos inflables, casitas pintadas para pájaros, manualidades, salas de movimiento, pintacaritas y mucho más. También recibimos a nuestros socios de Fidelis y del Hospital Northern Westchester, quienes tomaron la presión arterial y compartieron información sobre recursos de salud. Un agradecimiento muy especial a los voluntarios de Fox Lane High School, quienes trajeron mucho entusiasmo y ayudaron a que todo saliera bien. Suzanne Grant fue una persona muy querida en la familia de Neighbors Link, y este día es una forma muy especial de honrar su legado.
