Neighbors Link Names Jeanette Gisbert New Deputy Director
Mount Kisco, NY (October 24, 2024) – Neighbors Link, a Westchester-based nonprofit that supports the healthy integration of immigrants throughout the Hudson Valley, announced today the appointment of Jeanette Gisbert as the organization’s new Deputy Director, effective December 2024. In her new role, she will oversee Neighbors Link’s organizational strategy, program development, and fundraising to support the organization’s mission and long-term goals. Ms. Gisbert will succeed Laura Newman, who has accepted a position as the new Executive Director of the Child Care Council of Westchester.

Ms. Gisbert currently serves as the Executive Director of Volunteer New York! She joined Volunteer New York! in 2008, where she began as a corporate program coordinator. Eventually, she served as their Deputy Executive Director before becoming the Executive Director in July 2020. Previously, Ms. Gisbert was New York Cares’ first Director of Volunteer Relations, responsible for the recruitment and management of thousands of volunteers and hundreds of volunteer leaders. Jeanette started her nonprofit career as an Americorps VISTA member. Early in her career she worked as a staff accountant at KPMG.
Ms. Gisbert has been recognized by City and State as part of its 2023 Nonprofit Power 100 and 2024 Power of Diversity, Latino 100. She holds a BS in Management from Boston College and a Master of Public Administration from CUNY Baruch. A bilingual, first-generation immigrant of Cuban parents, Ms. Gisbert lives in Cortlandt Manor with her husband and son.
