An interesting event from the New York State Division of Human Rights:

Join the Civil Rights Roundtable of New York/New Jersey on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 6:PM for a virtual panel presentation and Q&A. Learn how federal and state laws apply to English Language Learners and students with Limited English Proficiency.

Speakers will include representatives from the NYS Office of the Attorney General, the NYS Education Department, the US Attorney’s Offices for the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York, and the US Department of Education Office for Civil Rights.

Whether you’re a parent, student or advocate, you are welcome to join us for the Zoom webinar. ASL interpretation and captioning will be available.
